Notification Policy

Users can create notification policies by entering the required information and selecting detailed options through the Samsung Cloud Platform Console.

Create an Alert Policy

You can create and use notification policies in the Samsung Cloud Platform Console.

1. Click the All Services > Management > Notification Manager menu. 1. Go to the Notification Groups page in Notification Manager.
2. On the Notification Groups page, click the Notification Policies menu. 2. Navigates to the Notification Policy List page.
3. On the Notification Policy List page, click the Create Notification Policy button. 3. Go to the Create Notification Policy page.
4. On the Create Notification Policy page, enter the information required to create the service and select the detailed options.

   Category	Required	Detailed Description
   Usage	Required	Whether to use the notification policy ON: Enabled OFF: Disabled
   Notification policy name	Required	Notification policy name Enter up to 30 characters
   Description	Select	Enter a description for the alert policy Enter up to 1,000 characters
   Notification Items	Required	Select notification items Select the notification items you want to receive To select or deselect specific notification names from the selected notification items, click the Expand button on the far right to select or deselect the notification names (Example) If you want to receive only notifications for Virtual Server creation failures, select Notification Item: Virtual Server > Notification Name: Virtual Server creation failure
   Notification Target Group	Required	Select the notification group to deliver notifications to. When you select a notification group, the group name is displayed at the top. Select or deselect the notification group name.

5. After configuring the required information, click the Complete button.
   • After creation is complete, verify the created notification policy on the Notification Policy List page.

Viewing notification policy details

You can view and modify the full list and detailed information for notification policies.

To view detailed information about the notification policy, follow these steps.

1. Click the All Services > Management > Notification Manager menu. 1. Go to the Notification Group List page in Notification Manager.
2. On the Notification Group List page, click the Notification Policy menu. 2. Navigates to the Notification Policy List page.
3. On the Notification Policy List page, click the notification policy for which you want to view detailed information. 3. Navigates to the Notification Policy Details page.
   • The Notification Policy Details page displays status information and additional feature information.

   • The following details are available on the Notification Policy Details page:

     Description	Description of the notification policy
     Constructor	The user who created the notification policy
     Created	The date and time when the notification policy was created
     Editor	User who modified the notification policy
     Date and time of modification	Date and time the notification policy was modified
     Notification Items	Notification items configured in the notification policy
     Notification Target Group	Notification groups linked in the notification policy

Modifying an Alert Policy

You can modify the settings in the created notification policy.

To modify the notification policy, follow these steps.

1. Click the All Services > Management > Notification Manager menu. 1. Go to the Notification Group List page of the Notification Manager.
2. On the Notification Group List page, click the Notification Policy menu. 2. Navigates to the Notification Policy List page.
3. Click the Modify button on the Notification Policy List page. 3. Navigates to the Edit Notification Policy page.
4. You can modify the items of a notification policy on the Modify Notification Policy page.

5. If you have finished modifying the notification policy, click the Save button.

Using Notification Policies

You can re-enable a suspended notification policy.

To enable the notification policy, follow these steps.

1. Click the All Services > Management > Notification Manager menu. 1. Go to the Notification Group List page of the Notification Manager.
2. On the Notification Group List page, click the Notification Policy menu. 2. Navigates to the Notification Policy List page.
3. On the Notification Policy List page, click the More button at the far right of the notification policy you want to enable, and then click Enable. 3. Notice Review the message in the pop-up window and click the OK button.
4. Check the status of the notification policy on the Notification Policy List page.

Disabling an alert policy

You can change the notification policy you are using to unused.

To set the notification policy to unused, follow these steps.

1. Click the All Services > Management > Notification Manager menu. 1. Go to the Notification Group List page of the Notification Manager.
2. On the Notification Group List page, click the Notification Policy menu. 2. Navigates to the Notification Policy List page.
3. On the Notification Policy List page, click the More button at the far right of the notification policy you want to disable, and then click Disable. 3. Notice Review the message in the pop-up window and click the OK button.
4. Check the status of the notification policy on the Notification Policy List page.
