Overview
Cloud Virtual Circuit provides a 1:1 virtual circuit service based on line bandwidth between global regions and customer sites of the Samsung Cloud Platform.
Customers can select two sites where the required resources are located and specify the bandwidth to configure a dedicated Layer 2 (L2) line. Additionally, we provide an extra feature that allows a single Virtual Circuit to be divided into multiple VLANs for independent use, depending on the customer’s business needs.
Architecture Diagram
Create a virtual Cloud Virtual Circuit for each customer project.
Select the departure Access Location where the customer resource is located and the destination Access Location.
Create a Virtual Link by configuring the following information.
- Bandwidth: 10 Mbps~10 Gbps
- Transmission path level: Gold or Silver
If multiple VLANs are required, apply the logical separation function of the Virtual Circuit.
- Enter the list of VLANs to be used at the source.
- Enter the list of VLANs to be used at the destination.
- Each VLAN can be used as an independent communication path.
Use Cases
A. ## On-Premises Data Center-to-Data Replication
Provides L2-based communication between On-Premises data centers or sites in different regions.
Provides P2P connections between global regions, including domestic regions, and offers a cost-effective connection method when large amounts of data need to be transferred.
B. ## Data migration from an On-Premises data center to SCP
Provides a large-scale inter-region data transfer environment for migrating data from on-premises data centers to the Samsung Cloud Platform.
You can consolidate regionally distributed On-Premises resources and migrate them to the main SCP data center.
C. ## Integration of Main Center and Multiple Business Sites’ Last Mile Using Multi-VLAN
Aggregate each site’s lines to a nearby hub, and integrate the nearby hub with the main center via a single Cloud Virtual Circuit.
Traffic for each site can be logically separated by VLAN to create an independent communication environment, thereby reducing Last Mile line costs.

Constraints
- Multi-VLAN supports up to 5 per Virtual Circuit.
- When using a contract-based product, bandwidth increase is possible, but reduction is not.
