Cloud LAN – Campus for Integrated Enterprise Network Operations

Overview

As the enterprise network operating environment becomes increasingly complex, operating costs and security risks increase, and work efficiency and productivity decrease. Additionally, the burden of costs can lead to delayed equipment replacement, resulting in lower operational stability. Therefore, a simple, fast, and cost-effective campus network environment change is necessary to suit the rapidly changing business environment.

Cloud LAN - Campus provides an optimized architecture for each enterprise and a rapid and secure network work environment. By providing user/device-based security authentication, wired and wireless integrated network usage environments, and integrated firewall operation/management services, it supports customers in focusing on their core work and provides a cost-effective usage-based subscription service.

This document explains how to configure and stably operate a convenient and secure enterprise network environment using Cloud LAN - Campus.

1. Connect the customer’s enterprise and Samsung Cloud Platform through a dedicated line, apply for Cloud LAN – Campus, and create Campus Network Access and Campus Firewall.

2. Configure the network and firewall usage environment with an optimized architecture for each enterprise.

3. Users can apply for/change policies through the service portal, and administrators can manage and monitor policies through the admin portal. Perform user/device-based integrated authentication management.

4. Network authentication and network separation are possible based on enhanced security certificates.

Use Cases

Providing a Rapid and Convenient Network Usage Environment Centered on Users

When a new user starts working at an enterprise or moves to a different location, a significant amount of time is spent on network connection and firewall application. Cloud LAN - Campus enables users to connect to the network immediately, regardless of wired or wireless, and provides a flexible and secure network with network separation. Additionally, it provides a rapid and convenient enterprise network usage environment with IP mobility functionality and integrated firewall operation services.

Cost-Effective, Flexible, and Easy-to-Manage Enterprise Network Operations

Cloud LAN - Campus allows customers to manage their network firewall infrastructure through a usage-based subscription service instead of operating it directly. It reduces excessive initial investment costs and provides flexible network infrastructure expansion and capacity increase when needed. Customers can improve efficiency without requiring separate maintenance, operation personnel, or asset management, and reduce total TCO with a usage-based billing system. Additionally, 24*365 management through a dedicated team enables rapid and stable enterprise network operations.

Limitations

Firewall devices can use SECUI, Paloalto, or Fortinet.

Prior consultation is required for specific SDN (Software Defined Networking) devices.

Considerations

Billing is applied differently according to usage levels.

A dedicated network connection between the customer’s enterprise and Samsung Cloud Platform requires a separate application for Direct Connect or Transit Gateway Uplink.

The architecture design and delivery construction will be proceeded with customer schedule coordination after service application.
